D&AD awards have been given out since it was founded back in 1962, and since then both practitioners and students within the design industry have been rewarded and recognised for their impressive works. The ‘New Blood’ award is only for young designers under the age of 24, and this year one brief caught my eye.
XL Recordings is an independent record label which was established in 1989, and during the time they’ve been around they have achieved a fair amount and come a long way. The brief is to Illustrate one significant event, or series of events from the history of XL and the final outcome must be in the format of an A1 poster.
Here I have photographed a few pages from my process book so you can get a better idea of where my ideas have stemmed from.
